Product works great, it’s helpful to hear the beep and I got complimented on the course. The problem is how much they stick. I suck and first availabled a tree and didn’t notice that I had thrown it against the tree so hard that the beeper was knocked off and only half the double sided tape remained
Hi Nyen! Thanks for the review and sorry to hear the tape didn't hold. In recent testing we found a tiny dab of superglue between the exposed tape and disc did wonders for the occasional tree magnet - we'll likely be including some going forward. Please reach out if you place any future orders - we'll include an extra device, rings, and glue.
I love disc golf. I love that I live in a place where I can play year round. Sorry to all you snow-bound guys/gals. But, I hate hate hate losing my discs, which I have done in high grass, trees, cactus, etc. Since I’ve found these Hello Disc trackers, I’ve gotten every disc back that I’ve thrown, even when they go way out of sight. The sound on them is usually loud enough, unless there’s a lot of other noise going on around the course. But, as long as you have a general idea which direction the disc went, you can usually walk to within 60-100’ and hear it beeping. I have had an older version of these trackers before this new set that I just got on Amazon, and I think the tape ring on the older ones held a little better. With these new ones I hit a block wall and the tracker flew off on the first day I used it, but since I had pressed the button I was still able to find it. Then I took it home, added a couple drops of super glue and it hasn’t come off again, even though it’s sustained many more hits to trees and the ground from a steep spike hyzer angle. I highly recommend these trackers. They’re worth every penny and then some. Just keep in mind, nothing can be attached to your discs when playing PDGA sanctioned tournaments, so if you do that, only use these on your practice discs, or don’t add super glue and you can always pull them off with a lot of force, and reattach them after a tournament. But, if you’re a casual player like myself, there’s no worry about that. Just happy to not have to worry about losing my discs anymore.
